I pre-bought the latest Smashing Pumpkins album, Zeitgeist, off of itunes… I can’t say it lives up to their former glory.
They do however have a song that goes by the same name as my daughter, and it’s a decent tune. If only the lyrics in some way echoed my daughter in all beauty. Maybe I’ll just have to write my own some day.
I think I’ll head to their concert if they come to town though… just for old times’ sake.

lon, did you ever check out james iha’s solo cd “let it come down”? james is the guitarist for smashing pumpkins. stylistically, it is much different from the pumpkins. folk oriented pop. it was stuck in my cd player for a good six months when it came out in the mid to late 90’s.
here’s a site i just found. you can listen to a bunch of songs:

I’ve heard some of Iha’s stuff… at the time, i think it was a bit too ‘light’ for me. Maybe i’ll have another listen, thanks dude!
