Summer Reading…

Some of the books I’ll be reading/re-reading this summer

Nice lot of books…keep us posted with how you get on with them.

what a great way of presenting your reading list!

i look forward to hearing what you make of ‘the forgotten ways’ - i just had to work through this so slowly because there are so many important and challenging things included in it. shane claiborne’s ‘the irresistible revolution’ just provokes and stirs the heart, the mind, and the imagination.

Hey Geoffrey, I’m still digging through forgotten ways, it’s fairly dense!

I just finished irresistable revolution, and it has done a complete number on me, I’m wrecked from reading it. It’ll take some time to digest…

it sounds as though you are having a similar experience to me with both of these books.

it took me weeks to get through ‘the forgotten ways’ because i didn’t want to miss anything. alan hirsch partnered with michael frost on ‘the shaping of things to come’, but he has also has a book out at the moment called ‘exiles’ which is as concentrated so i’m slowly reading that one too.

‘the irresistible revolution’ is absolutely and completely challenging - a must read for anyone thinking missionally about the future.

let’s enjoy, and let god change us.
